Pen drive is the best tool to carry any data and it’s very good tool to transfer data from one computer to other computer. Sometime our files and folder in pen drive are shown as shortcut. This is very common problem not happen only in your pen drive but memory card and hard disk.

Here we will use command prompt to remove the shortcut virus from pen drive.
Steps to Remove Shortcut Virus are: –
1) First of all go to RUN. You can use shortcut key press Window key + R.
2) Type CMD in RUN box. To open command prompt.
3) Now, Command prompt will be open and you have to enter this code here: – ‘attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*’ if your pen drive is G then use this code otherwise replay “g” from this code with your pen drive name.

4) After typing the above code in your command prompt press “Enter” key and wait at least 1 minute. It will finish in just few second but may take more time to recover more data.
5) When it will finish open your pen drive now, you can access your pen drive data.
Alternative solution to remove this virus:
You can use the best antivirus to remove this type of virus. Just install a good antivirus in your computer or laptops and insert your pen drive in USB port of your computer or laptop and scan your Pen drive.
